22nd July 2016 - BATTERY!!!

Hey everyone,

Today is actually slightly better than I thought that it would be! This morning when I woke up David came up the stairs with a parcel for me which was the new battery for my phone,

I am absolutely over the moon to be able to play pokemon for more than 10 minutes without fear of the battery dying and hopefully tomorrow afternoon we can take a wee trip out to see if we can catch anything!

Today was a cleaning day in the house and so the catches were few and far between, first catch was a wee zubat but I think I traded this one in for some more Candy to get the next pokemon on todays list!

Finally a decent CP on a pokemon! Hopefully I can take on a gym soon with this one too!

Finally the only other thing that I managed to do today was catch enough Pidgeys to trade for enough candy for this little babe!

This is another top CP one to add to the collection!

22th July 2016 - Meoww!

Hey everyone,

First of all today I just want to apologise because yesterday I could have sworn that I pressed publish but apparently I didn't so sorry that it only got posted about 2 hours ago :(

Today was another massive bust and the next few days are probably going to be the same because the battery has only got worse and worse :(, it made 85% today before it died! On the plus side I did order the new battery yesterday and it was dispatched today so that's a bonus!

Had to use a payphone again today and i'm getting to be a dab hand at it!

Today I was all prepared to post the following few usual pokemon thinking that the highlight of my day would be an evolution of a Caterpie but actually got a wee surprise when I opened the app to see if anything was near my house :)

Surprise surprise another Zubat and again with a terrible CP, this one has since been transferred for some more Zubat candy!

Here's another amazing pokemon I caught today...not 

By transferring the Caterpie above I did manage to evolve one of the previous ones into a wee Metapod which was also a new pokemon for me so an extra 500 xp was welcomed!

 

Finally my last wee surprise of the day was Meowth! I was not expecting this when I was in the pokedex and the phone vibrated, I was expecting another Pidgey as always or maybe even another Zubat for a change but this was another new one so a little closer to level 9 which i'll hopefully get over the weekend!!

Anyway it's been a horrendously long day so I am having a wee early night! What an exciting Friday night!

21st July 2016 - Unproductive Day

Hey everyone,

As I mentioned yesterday this is going to be a realllllly short post because today was an absolute nightmare!

I went to work this morning and then left just after 1, I couldn't check pokemon because it drains the life out of my battery so I waited, got to where I was going and phoned David to let him know that I had made it. Then switched the phone off. 2 hours later I come out and go to switch the phone on and nothing....completely dead!

Unfortunately i then had to find a way to contact David to get him to pick me up at the train station so I found a payphone and tried to work that instead...nothing... I even tried that 0800 reverse number and it still didn't work! I then decided to head back to the train station and worst case scenario get back to the office and phone David from there however the office would have been shut before then so luckily I have a key just in case! Anyway got to the train station and they had a payphone that I could use my credit card in rather than having to find coins on top of everything else and managed to phone David to get him to pick me up, missed a train in the process but by now I was just happy to see a phone! 

By the time I got home and managed to charge the phone it was after dinner and David pointed out that there was a Dewgong nearby and sure enough it appeared across the road and I managed to catch it no problem! CP is decent too! Also dinged level 8 today which is exciting!

The fact that today was so boring I decided to post the amount of eggs that I have waiting to hatch although unfortunately I only have the 2 incubators so it takes a while to get rid of them!!

Unfortunately tomorrow is probably going to be much of the same as I am likely to be out of the office for at least another week now and the phone is just getting worse and worse, I promise after typing this I am going straight onto the internet to find a replacement battery for this damn phone so that I can at least enjoy pokemon a little more!

20th July 2016 - The Beast

Hey Everyone,

WOW!! Just noticed the page views and i'm amazed! Didn't think I would get any views in the first day so this was a little surprise!

Thank you all so much for taking the time out to read my wee blog it really does mean a lot to see that people are actually reading the stuff that I sit here and think up,

Sorry if this post is a little underwhelming but today was a slow one and we didn't actually go out at all, also problems with the server didn't really help to be quite honest.

The first catch of the day was....you guessed it a Weedle! I am trying to get a Beedrill so i'm not too worried but I think they do appear a little too often honestly especially in the area where I live! Also on the way to work this morning I was hoping for a little Electric pokemon because it would have fitted in very well with the Thunder and Lightning that we had this morning!

Also on the way to work this morning we caught a little Nidoran, I think the CP is still really low because my level is so low just now but hopefully with levelling i'll get some higher CP pokemon!

Managed to catch something a little better later on while on my lunch break just in the office, i wasn't really expecting anything spectacular however this will at least add to the candy to level my Haunter which I caught yesterday :)

Finally today is my new highest CP pokemon that I have painstakingly levelled from a wee baby Pidgey into a lovely big Beast that one day might actually help me get a gym although perhaps not around here as the levels in the gyms are ridiculous!

Pretty proud of this guy and with a decent CP level massively above the others! I'm going to be out of the office again tomorrow so I will apologise in advance for the lack of pokemon that I am likely to catch because as much as I want to catch loads on my travels the battery on my phone is dying a death and on full battery pokemon will now play for around 20 minutes! Really need to find a replacement and get it ordered ASAP! So unfortunately communication with David to let him know when to pick me up as well as being able to be contacted by the office is more important than the pokemon unfortunately but I will see if Angela fancies another adventure tomorrow night with me and David and we can explore the area a little more and try to find some rarer pokemon!

Introduction

Hey Everyone,

I've not blogged in so long that I think i've forgotten how to but today after over a year I decided to make a new blog just for Pokemon!

Along with the rest of the world i've recently downloaded Pokemon Go and it's really making me want to get out of the house and discover the world around me, when usually video games are something that I can only really play when sitting on my bed with the laptop or at a PC this is a really refreshing game which has actually helped me to become more active plus who doesn't love pokemon!

So far I have managed to catch a few pokemon and am currently at level 7, tonight after work instead of hanging around the house in front of the TV or youtube Me, David and Angela actually went out to the local park to see what we could find. (this is a rare thing for me because at night I generally just like to come in eat and then sleep)

Today was a busy day, I was out and about this morning and then had to get the train back to work later in the day, I definitely made the most of the train being delayed by cashing in on the pokestop more than once gaining a few eggs and also a few extra poke balls. Also surprisingly I hadn't caught any Rattata at all yet so this is a new one to add to the pokedex!

After work I came home and made dinner (tagliatelle and meatballs in case you were wondering) we all went out for our walk through the graveyard and through the local park,

We all used an incense while out but didn't find that it actually made that much of a difference, have any of you guys had any luck with incense or is it better in certain areas?

I managed to find a few new pokemon to add to the collection which was good but still not the best trip considering we used incense and all that. (i found a Ghastly in the graveyard too but he was low level and so I just traded him for more Ghastly candy!

While we were out I did manage to hatch my first ever egg too which was probably the most anti-climatic thing ever...

I know it was only a 2km egg and so hopefully I have better luck with the 5km ones, David also got his first egg today which happens to be a 10km egg so hopefully he gets something nice with that!

After about half an hour the usual servers went down and phone battery died and we all headed for home but still a pretty eventful evening! Think it will be a relaxed day tomorrow but then again you never know what might happen!
